Animals and Sam

Sam was born and raised around animals. Her parents had dogs since before she was born. At the age of seven she got her first personal pet, a guinea pig named Aaron. At the age of ten her family got a puppy and she began learning how to train. She later expanded from training dogs to training fish. Soon after she started working with fish, she also began working with horses. Her most recently added animals are bunnies.

Artistic

Aside from loving animals, Sam loves art. From pencil and paper to digital media, she loves experimenting with many different art forms.

Life in the present

Sam is currently in the M.S. Clinical Mental Health Counseling at McDaniel College. She is also holding down a full time position at Washington County Public Schools.

Between work and school, Sam works hard at maintaining and expanding her skills in the equine field. She rides several times a week and spends as much time working at the barn as possible. She also enjoys reading and watching videos about horses.

Life in My Dreams

After graduating from McDaniel, Sam plans to pursue her board license. After that, she will get a job in her field while attending the Animal Behavior Institute for certification in Animal Assisted Therapy, Therapy and Service Animal Training, and Advanced Equine Training.

Upon completion of her certifications, Sam would like to go into animal assisted therapy, preferably equine assisted therapy. However, that would require further certification. She would ultimately like to operate out of her own facilities.
